Robert W. Brennan

SAVANNAH - Robert Bob Brennan of Savannah, Georgia age 72 died on Sunday, September 2 after a long battle with Mesothelioma. Bob was born on January 30th, 1940 in Jersey City, N. J. to Mary and George Brennan. He attended schools in Pearl River, New York, receiving degrees in Education from Brockport State and New Paltz State University. He spent 28 years teaching Math and History to Junior High school students both in Rockland and Orange Counties.
Brennan was a career public servant and notably had a spot as a New York State Delegate for Scoop Jackson. He also wrote several journals of land ownership and census data related to the Mid- Hudson Valley Region.
Robert is survived by his siblings: George Brennan, Jr. and wife Lois Brennan, Boca Raton, Kevin Brennan and wife, Connie, Washingtonville and Margaret Stush and her husband Gerald, Pearl River, N.Y. and much loved nieces and nephews.
Bob and his wife Marcy enjoyed their four children: Daughter, Mary Anne and her husband Graham P Skea, Houston, Tx, Daughter, Jill Brennan and her fiancé Darryl Myers, Fredericksburg, Va. Son, Terrence P Brennan and his wife Lori, Alexandria, Va. Son, James A Brennan and his wife Shelley, Denver, Colorado. Seven Grandchildren: Kayleigh Harrington, Moira Skea, Kendall Harrington, John Trevor Harrington, Brenna Skea, Nolan Robert Harrington, George H. Brennan.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, George and Mary, brother, Lawrence Brennan, and nephews Sean and Lawrence Brennan
Viewing will be held at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home on Whitemarsh Island on Friday evening between 5-7, with a Rosary at 6:45 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church at 11 am on Saturday. Interment at Bonaventure Cemetery following Mass.

I was very fond of Bob, he would be in the Genealogy Room and I would be in the Historian's Office across the hall, at the 1841 Court House in Goshen, NY. We had many friendly chats during the years we were at the Court House offices'. Bob was a great person to know. He will be missed.
